HISTORY OF TAEKWONDO

Approximately 1300 years ago, during the Silla Dynasty in Korea, an ancient form of unarmed combat – known in those days as Tae-Kyon – evolved.

The ancient Art of Tae-Kyon is now widely dispersed throughout the world and known as various forms of Taekwondo.

As your instructors we aim to provide students of all ages a quality martial arts education.  It is our belief that traditional martial arts have become more about money making rather than giving students the skills to improve.

Our students are a reflection upon our instructors and visa versa.  All members are required to pass standardised tests and complete a minimum amount of training for each rank.  It is our goal to have our students receive quality instruction and demonstrate quality technique.  Our school incorporates techniques from traditional Taekwondo, Judo, Muay Thai & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu into its sylibus.  We are leaders amongst the martial arts community in mixing the technques that work.  Students who undertake training will also achieve improvements in fitness and flexibilty.
